Without lifting a finger, without any contribution from us, we are gifted with an incredibly rich and diverse environment of water birds and other water creatures.
Ours it is to simply enjoy, be awed and entertained by such a display of life.
AND TO PROTECT IT
All these photos are my own. Most were taken at the Rockhampton Botanical Gardens , including the sunset.

I always think Birds are the most awe-inspiring creatures as they transport us above the weariness of life flying above into the unknown and then gliding on the waters of the earth giving the ground we walk on a reflection of the mystery of wing spans which take them where they will.
Flight seems easier than fight sometimes. I envy the birds.
Very well expressed, Veronica! Birds speak so much of freedom as well as connectivity, bringing the heavens and the earth together.
“And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest…” Psalm 55:6,7
Seagulls are the birds that speak strongest to me of grace and freedom. I am preparing a photo essay on them to be posted shortly.
